Itoh Peonies are a hybrid that wasn't supposed to be possible. The strong stems and big flowers of tree peonies combined with the foliage and fragrance of herbaceous peonies combine to make a beautiful landscape plant that doesn't need staking and looks great from spring all the way to the fall frosts.
